History of EuroMillionsThe EuroMillions lottery was launched on 13 February 2004 by three countries: France, Spain and the UK. They were later joined by other European countries. The aim was to combine efforts to create a large, transparent and exciting lottery format with multi-million prize pools.

How prizes are formed
The EuroMillions prize pool is formed from player contributions.
Part of the cost of each ticket goes into the general fund, which is then distributed among the different categories of winnings:- Jackpot - the main part
- Minor prize tiers - fixed amounts or percentages of the fund
- Special draws (for example, Superdraw) can increase the jackpot
- If the jackpot is not won, it rolls over to the next draw, increasing up to the set limit.

Frequency of draws
EuroMillions draws are held twice a week:
Tuesday and FridayResults are published on the same evening after the draw.
